90 Minutes in Heaven
A true story of death and life
The victim or a horrendous car crash, Don Piper was pronounced dead at the scene. At least 90 minutes after the EMTs found no signs of life, Don came back to life with only the memory of inexpressible heavenly bliss. 90 minutes in Heaven shares what he experienced while in heaven and through the recovery following his accident.
Don Piper
A best-selling author and pastor, Don Piper is sought-after speaker from Sweden to Australia and throughout the U.S. His personal story of death and life, as told in the book 90 Minutes in Heaven, has sold over 1.4 million copies, and is now available in 16 languages.
Following a tragic car accident in 1989, in which Don was declared “dead on the scene,” he was miraculously revived twice and has been in recovery since that time. Already 34 surgical procedures have taken place—and he walks only as a result of miraculous and in some cases medically unexplainable circumstances.
His testimony of his death experience, visit to Heaven’s gates, struggle to regain his health, and triumphant ministry has comforted and encouraged readers around the globe. Don brings healing to hurting hearts with his powerful message of finding “a new normal” following life-changing physical, emotional and spiritual challenges. His remarkable story simply must be experienced to be believed.
Don’s background included graduating from Louisiana State University in radio and television broadcasting, working extensively in broadcasting, and earning a master of divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He served as a pastor for over twenty years—most recently as the pastor of education and discipleship programs at the First Baptist Church of Pasadena, Texas.
He and his wife Eva are the parents of three adult children: their daughter, Nicole, and twin sons Christopher and Joseph.
The Purpose Driven Life
A groundbreaking manifesto on the meaning of life.
The most basic question everyone faces in life is Why am I here? What is my purpose? Self-help books suggest that people should look within, at their own desires and dreams, but Rick Warren says the starting place must be with God and his eternal purposes for each life. Real meaning and significance comes from understanding and fulfilling God’s purposes for putting us on earth.
The Purpose-Driven Life takes the groundbreaking message of the award-winning Purpose-Driven Church and goes deeper, applying it to the lifestyle of individual Christians. This book helps readers understand God’s incredible plan for their lives. Warren enables them to see the big picture of what life is all about and begin to live the life God created them to live.
The Purpose-Driven Life is a manifesto for Christian living in the 21st century...a lifestyle based on eternal purposes, not cultural values. Using biblical stories and letting the Bible speak for itself, Warren clearly explains God’s five purposes for each of us:
We were planned for God’s pleasure, so your first purpose is to offer real worship.
We were formed for God’s family, so your second purpose is to enjoy real fellowship.
We were created to become like Christ, so your third purpose is to learn real discipleship.
We were shaped for serving God, so your fourth purpose is to practice real ministry.
We were made for a mission, so your fifth purpose is to live out real evangelism
Rick Warren
Dr. Rick Warren is passionate about attacking what he calls the five “Global Goliaths” – spiritual emptiness, egocentric leadership, extreme poverty, pandemic disease, and illiteracy/poor education. His goal is a second Reformation by restoring responsibility in people, credibility in churches, and civility in culture. He is a pastor, global strategist, theologian, and philanthropist. He’s been often named " America's most influential spiritual leader" and “ America’s Pastor.” (1)
As a pastor, he founded Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, Calif., in 1980 with one family. Today, it is an evangelical congregation averaging 22,000 weekly attendees, a 120-acre campus, and has more than 300 community ministries to groups such as prisoners, CEOs, addicts, single parents, and those with HIV/AIDS. Recently, the church fed 42,000 homeless people – three meals a day – for 40 days.
He also leads the Purpose Driven Network of churches, a global coalition of congregations in 162 countries. More than 400,000 ministers and priests have been trained worldwide, and almost 157,000 church leaders subscribe to Ministry Toolbox, his weekly newsletter. His previous book, The Purpose Driven Church is listed in “100 Christian Books That Changed the 20 th Century.” Forbes magazine called it, “The best book on entrepreneurship, management, and leadership in print.”
As a global strategist , Dr. Warren advises leaders in the public, private, and faith sectors on leadership development, poverty, health, education, and faith in culture. He has been invited to speak at the United Nations, the World Economic Forum in Davos, the African Union, the Council on Foreign Relations, Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, TIME’s Global Health Summit, and numerous congresses around the world. TIME magazine named him one of “15 World Leaders Who Mattered Most in 2004” and in 2005 one of the “100 Most Influential People in the World.” Also, in 2005 U.S. News & World Report named him one of “ America’s 25 Best Leaders”.
As a theologian, Dr. Warren has lectured at Oxford, Cambridge, the University of Judaism, the Evangelical Theological Society, and numerous seminaries and universities. His six books are known for explaining theology in understandable ways and have been translated into more than 50 languages. Dr. Warren says he teaches theology without using theological terms and telling people it is theology. His latest book, The Purpose Driven Life, has sold 25 million copies and is the best-selling hardback book in American history, according to Publisher’s Weekly.
As philanthropists, Rick and Kay Warren give away 90 percent of their income through three foundations: Acts of Mercy, which serves those infected and affected by AIDS; Equipping the Church, which trains church leaders in developing countries; and The Global PEACE Fund, which fights poverty, disease, and illiteracy.
He chose the Nails
Come closer to the heart of God. Linger at the cross for a while. Gaze inside the empty tomb, and place your hand in Jesus' wounds. What you will find is love, the pure love of God for you. His love has rescued and redeemed you. His love has set you free. All because, He chose the nails. In this thoughtful exploration of the cross, Max Lucado uses his gift for storytelling to communicate the heart of the Gospel. Move the knowledge of God's love from your head to your heart. This edition includes a study guide for group or individual use.
Mas Lucado

Profile
Ana Coppeage is a 32-year-old woman trying to get through life one day at a time. She is a single parent to a beautiful little girl named Emily living in a rural community outside Oklahoma City.
Ana met the man of her dreams right out of college on her first day of work. A short period of courting flew by and they were married within two years. Life was great. Everyone always says your first year of marriage is the hardest, but Ana could never agree. She loved her husband, Aaron more than life.
November before Aaron’s 30th birthday, he fell suddenly ill. After much testing, the doctors found out he had a terminal tumor in his brain. Ana being six weeks pregnant was overwhelmed with fear. Aaron died within three months of his diagnoses leaving Ana a widow with an unborn child.
Ana has always been a Christian. After Aaron’s death she often questions her life and why God would allow this to happen to her. She attends the Methodist Church every Sunday and even sings in the Chancel Choir, which practices every Wednesday night.

PSALM 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want [lack].
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:
For Thou art with me;
Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
--King David
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. 1 Peter 2:24
The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:7
He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life. Revelation 21:6
We have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus. Hebrews 10:19
There is a real judgment coming. The Bible describes “a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries” (Hebrews 10:27). It calls us to live “with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire” (Hebrews 12:28-29). John the Baptist warned the people of his day to “flee from the wrath to come” (Matthew 3:7). For Jesus himself will be “revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of out Lord Jesus. They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might” (2 Thessalonians 1:7-9). Fifty Resons why Jesus came to Die John Piper

| Nicole C. Mullen - Redeemer Lyrics Who taught the sun where to stand in the morning? And who told the ocean you can only come this far? And who showed the moon where to hide till evening? Whose words alone can catch a falling star? Chorus: Well I know my Redeemer lives I know my Redeemer lives All of creation testifies this life within me cries I know my Redeemer lives ye-e-eah The very same God that spins things in orbit runs to the weary, the worn and the weak and the same gentle hands that hold me when I'm broken they conquered death to bring me victory Now I know, my Redeemer lives I know my Redeemer lives let all creation testify Let this life within me cry I-I-I know My Redeemer He lives to take away my shame and He lives forever I'll proclaim that the payment for my sin was the precious life He gave and now He's alive and there's an empty grave! And I know my Redeemer lives He lives I know my Redeemer lives let all creation testify Let this life within me cry I-I-I know my Redeemer I know my Redeemer lives I know my Redeemer lives * I know, That I know, that I know, that i know, that I know He lives *Because He lives I can face tomorrow He lives *I know, I know* He lives *I spoke with Him this morning!* He lives *The tomb is empty He lives *I'm going to tell everybody!!* | |

Excerpt from 90 minutes in Heaven excerpt
“According to those who were at the scene, the guards called for medical backup from the prison, and they arrived a few minutes later. Someone examined me, found no pulse, and declared that I had been killed instantly. I have no recollection of the impact or anything that happened afterward. In one powerful, overwhelming second, I died.”
"As the crowd rushed toward me, I didn't see Jesus, but I did see the people I had known. As they surged toward me, I knew instantly that all of them had died during my lifetime. Their presence seemed absolutely natural. They rushed toward me, and every person was smiling, shouting, and praising God.
"Although no one said so, intuitively I knew they were my celestial welcoming committee. It was as if they had all gathered just outside heaven's gate, waiting for me. The first person I recognized was Joe Kulbeth, my grandfather. He looked exactly as I remembered him, with his shock of white hair. ...as I stared into his face, an ecstatic bliss overwhelmed me. ... I couldn't get past the joy of our reunion. How either of us reached heaven seemed irrelevant."
The Purpose Driven Life
It's not about you.
The purpose of your life is far greater than your own personal fulfillment, your peace of mind, or even your happiness. It's far greater than your family, your career, or even your wildest dreams and ambitions. If you want to know why you were placed on this planet, you must begin with God. You were born by his purpose and for his purpose.
"Everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him." Colossians 1:16
